To frame the Lena image, create a simple Black&White Mask using MSPaint as depicted in Lena08.gif. Load the result into the 'Effects/Filters' dialog, select 'Low Pass' and set the range of the lowpass to 6, which gives the Lena09 mask. Lena0a through Lena0c show the process of framing the image. Alternatively, you may load the Lena07.jpg into the 'Effects/Frame Image' dialog, check 'Mask Image' and load the Lena09.gif as mask to obtain Lena0d.jpg.
