Zoom Up/Down
doubleclick the left/right mousebutton or use the hotkeys 'u','d' or the Options menu.

Capture Screen
Click Options|CaptureScreen| to_Clipboard or to_File to capture a dedicated portion of the screen. A running frame appears, which you might adjust to the screen area to be captured. Click the yellow-circled button beneath the Options-button to capture the area. (If the captured area is saved to a JPEG-File, the compression value from the
Settings-Dialog is used.) To cancel capturing mode, press the selected menu items again.

Distances
Activate the Distances mode from the Options menu, then draw a line between the points of interest. The display shows the length of the line in pixels. To change the units, open the
Settings Dialog and enter the conversion factor in the 'Multiply Pixellength by :' Edit-field.

Grab
grab continously the display of an underlying window. The Grab area itself is a hole to the underlying window - this might be a little confusing in the beginning. Adjust the Zoom-Window to the screen area you want to grab. Press the yellow-circled button beneath the Options-button to Start/Stop grabbing. Edit the Grab parameters (GrabInterval, Folder to save Images in, ...) in the
Settings Dialog . The Display shows the number of captured frames and - after the comma - the actual Grab-Interval Time needed in msec .

The Images will be saved in the Format yXXXXX, y standing for the letters taken from the 'Save Images to:' Edit field and XXXXX standing for the current frame number in hex.

Zoom doesn't support DirectX yet. Thus the grabbing will not work with applications using DirectX!

Zoom at Screen Cursor
magnifies the screen portion around the current mouselocation.

Settings, parameter editing for:
Distances:
Change the units of the Distance display by entering the conversion factor in the 'Multiply Pixellength by :' Edit-field. The Calculator button starts Window's Calc.exe.
Grab:
Edit the Grab Interval time, the Folder, Filenames and File-Extensions grabbed Images are saved to. The Jpeg compression factor will be used with both, capturing and grabbing to Jpeg-Files.
General:
there are 2 techniques available for zooming (for those interested in: StretchBlt with SRCCOPY or MERGECOPY). The first one is faster, but - depending on the graphics hardware - not always delivers the desired result. Experiment which one is better.
Switch 'Stay On Top' on/off to change the StayOnTop property.

Register
To register, open the About Dialog to find the serial of the program, which is a combination of program and hardware serials. With this serial, visit
http://www.PeakStars.com to obtain the Registration Key. (Note: the Registration Key is hardware dependent and valid only for the machine Zoom is currently running on).
