This is how I finally found the length of my jogging distance

First, I visited one of the internet map sites, in this case www.mapblast.com. To find the scale of the map, I zoomed up - think this is a factor of 5 - and found 92 pixels (or is it 90?) corresponding to 1 mile.



Starting the Calculator from the Settings Dialog, the conversion factor results to 1/92 = 0.01087.



ok, 9.1 miles for my NY jogging distance. Could fit.
